One of the agents observed the maneuver, which served to recover that substance and more in some balconies / Three people were arrested for trafficking in a mixture of drugs that includes fentanyl, cocaine and heroin

As part of an ongoing investigation into fentanyl and heroin trafficking in New York City, law enforcement officers recovered more than 13 pounds (more than five kilos) of drug mixtures, including fentanyl, heroin, xylazine, methamphetamine and cocaine, inside and outside a narcotics packaging center. The drugs are estimated to have a street value of more than two million dollars.
Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan said“ "This organisation demonstrated a callous disregard not only for the lives of its clients, but also for those of the residents of the surrounding neighbourhood. Our investigation disrupted the packaging and distribution of hundreds of thousands of doses of dangerous drug mixtures, including opioids, sedatives and stimulants. Those who lived in the 20-story apartment building where this organization was located had no warning about the risks to which they were exposed, even when 17 large packages of potentially deadly substances were thrown out of a window.”
During a short-term investigation, agents identified a location suspected of packaging drugs inside a Bronx apartment. Several people, including the three detainees, were observed entering and leaving the apartment, sometimes with bags. It is alleged that one of them ran the packaging center and was the target of the investigation.
On November 6, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., the police officers conducted a search of the investigated home. As deputies and officers worked to open the apartment door, which was secured with multiple latch locks, an NYPD detective stationed outside the residential building observed bags of what appeared to be drugs being thrown from a ninth-floor window.

Approximately 10 individual bags containing narcotics and other substances were recovered from the ground outside the 2300 block of Olinville Avenue. Seven other bags were found on the neighboring balconies, under the window of the 7th and 8th floors. A subsequent DEA laboratory analysis determined that these bags contained various mixtures and amounts of fentanyl, heroin, xylazine, methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as other substances. The rest of the drugs in the possession of the investigated were in the house that was the object of the raid. Cash and everything necessary to package the substance, including presses, were also seized.
