Why do my distlliations take for ever ?

I'm just newbie and tried distilling of many oils, solvents, water/oil mixtures and water/solvents and i just do a simple distillation setup with the regular glasswares and stuff but doesn't matter what I'm distilling, it just takes for ever
like if I have a water/oil mixture it just distills 10ml over 4 hours

watching too many procedures and setups on youtube and the internet there seems to be nothing wrong with my setups but it just strangely time consuming ?!?

also using a vacuum pump just makes the whole place filled with the gas ( too much waste ) , and also i see that for simple distilliations vacuum is no necessity but it seems impossible without it for me ?

Tell us more about what you are using to heat, what are you heating, glassware you're using etc.
Are you using a bath of something? Are you wrapping the top of your flask and collumn first few cm ?

I'm using a lab electric heater/magnetic-stirrer and lab boroscilicate glassware, heating in bath just makes the solution to heat up faster but really doesn't seem to help with distillation itself

I haven't tried wrapping the flask or the above glass

Isolating the flask + column with aluminium foil will help prevent the heat from fleeing and so making the distillation faster, still a distillation is taking time.
You want to make sure that the heat inside of your aparatus is at a constant stage so that the distillation can happen.

Jesus christ, am I having problems today.

Show us a clear picture of your whole setup, I'm using the same equipment as you for vacuum distillation and I have no problem.
