It works the same way as the 4MMC/3MMC synthesis, just replace the 2B4M by 2-bromo-3-chloropropiophenone and use the following ratios : 4x methylamine (by moles) 5x solvent (by volume)

It's a bit trickier to get it crystallised since you should extract the product with plenty of small volume portions of water after adding the HCL to the r.m. until pH is approx 6. Water will evaporate alone, but very slowly, therefore you may heat the body.
