I'm also seeking out the fabled Meo-MD compounds. Parsley seed oil is a better source for myristicin (30-50% fraction of oil), just separate by distillation and don't forget to save the precious apiole.

What I've gotten from my research is that using safrole in the halogenated routes is messy and low-yielding so my guess is it would likely be the same starting from myristicin. Yields can likely be improved using the Finkelstein to convert any of the brominated/chlorinated intermediates to the iodinated equivalent since Iodine is a better leaving group.

For the shortest path from myristicin I think wacker oxidation to al/hg amalgam would be the simplest and highest yielding if you can afford the Pd salts. There's very little first hand info on the paths to any of the MMs but I've seen a report on another forum using the performic. Basically any path from safrole to mdma should work if you replace safrole with myristicin.

I thought nutmeg oil was myristicin, and apiole was from parsley, and dillapiole was from dill...

nutmeg oil contains a lot of things, myristicin in part but also safrole, elemicin, eugenol, and a lot of light smelly terpenes. The myristicin content is usually in the low single digits as % of whole but oils from Indonesia must meet strict quality standards ensuring at least 10% myristicin.

apiole is in parsley oil but depending on the source parsley seed oils contain much more myristicin as a whole and possibly even more myristicin than apiole. Not as familiar with dill oil components but dillapiole is known for being one of them. Basically there's usually a lot of different plants that have the same pure compound as part of their essential oil. Something to keep in mind when looking for precursors to make the "essential amphetamine" drugs.
