A/B-tek does not work because Muscimol freebase is still not soluble in organic solvents like ethyl acetate.
I tried it.
You can try to extract with 10% acetic acid and then defat with xylene/ethyl acetate.
But basing with ammonia (pH 8-10) and then extracting with organic solvent won’t work

he/she asked if it’s possible to do an a/b tek for amanitas ( for Muscimole hydrochloride I guess) and the answer is no

Muscimole is very polar even as freebase. It will prefer the aqueous layer and not the organic layer (toluene/naphta/xylene/dcm/ethyl acetate).
That’s the problem.
I tried it with xylene and yield was very bad
