1. It s D-methyl I think. I m not a chimist and never did analyse of it but it should be this one.
2. Using acétone and water, about 20g of meth, I use 1dl of acetone and heat it just befor the boiling point. Then in average I use 8 - 9.5ml of water and stirred well until nearly all meth is dissolved.
Then I cover with aluminium foil and cling film and wrap my container with 1 kitchen towel to slow down the cooling process.
3. At the moment I leave to cool for 4 to 6 hours in the open air, depending on the quantity (10 - 20g).
Then either I collect the shards before continuing the cooling process in the fridge (mine is set at 3°C) and then in the freezer, or I put the whole thing directly into the fridge and then the freezer...
If you only let it cool at room temperature you will lost a lot of product.
Continue cooling as described to recover as much product as possible.
When no more crystals form, evaporate the liquid to recover as much as possible.
I usually collect the crystals formed at room temperature before putting them in the fridge, as cooling in the fridge is quicker so the crystals become smaller.
Voilà, I hope I answered your question..
Otherwise tell me.
